The ASUS Zenbook Flip (UP3404V) is basically a quite powerful laptop with all purpose use on it. You can use it as a normal laptop, tent, stand and tablet mode. This also means this feature a sensitive capacitive touchscreen display with pressure sensitivity and good quality display in it. Looking light and portable, this laptop is quite tough with its versatile ErgoHinge which is reinforce to withstand multiple open and closes on the lid. Despite that the US MIL-STD 810H military-grade standard is still present together with the sheer weight of the 1.5KG, putting it under the light laptop category with just 15.9mm thickness. Overall it is a companion suitable for travelers and the working ones with a small footprint that can be placed on small tables, yet you will still have place left to work with.
Despite that, the keyboard and trackpad is accurate too on the chiclet design which ASUS has been using it for several years, and till date the design still looks fresh and comfortable to type and the trackpad ErgoSense is fairly sizable with Windows Precision Drivers for Windows 11 and with a touch, you can turn the trackpad as a NumPad if you need one. It also came with Windows Hello for authentication/password unlocking.
Display & Audio
With a portable size laptop comes with a beautiful high resolution 2880 by 1800 pixel, 14 inch OLED display which displays colors deep rich whether you are editing your visual while working or just watching your favorite streaming platform with HDR contents. It can peak up to 500nits in brightness making it suitable for most bright and dark environment that has blue light filter giving is viewing comfortability and angles.
For those who specifically working on design, you get 100% DCI-P3 color gamut range, which in return gives good color ranges while working and the 90Hz refresh rate lets you have a smoother display while you are just scrolling your contents with the display with Pantone Validated Display.
Since this is a touch screen display, ASUS has included the Stylus Pen in the box. The MPP 2.0-compliant pen precisely reproduces both the tiniest lines and the biggest brush strokes because to its 4096 pressure levels, extremely low latency, and quick response. Additionally, it has a useful multi-function shortcut button, a 5-350 gramme pen tip force, and quick USB-C charging. For writing or sketching that feels natural, you can choose one of the four interchangeable pen tips that mimic various sorts of pencils.
Audio wise, by looking sleek and small, it has an incredibly powerful pair of speakers located at the bottom of the Laptop which can be pretty loud and clear with Dolby Atmos, yet there is no distortion so far even on full blast volume while listening to music. On top of that, there is a built in smart conferencing with incorporate AI webcam and audio together to focus only on your vocal/voice with your facial together, reducing background noise.
Benchmarks & Performance
The ASUS Zenbook Flip (UP3404V) under the hood is quite powerful yet last you on battery usage as it featured the Intel 13th Generation Processor with up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 512GB PCIE Gen4x4 Storage and of course Intel XE Intergrated Graphic which is a modest combination of internals. Working with just the battery with the combination of spreadsheets, Photoshop, web browsing, some light gaming and streaming will pretty much last you about 7 hours if set to battery efficiency making it great if you forget to bring your charger along, and this will last you the whole working day without much of a challenge. Recharging will take about 2 hours or so and that is pretty fast to get you back again to your mobile work places or cafe again in almost no time.
Besides that there is also not much of ASUS included software, only a few here and there such as MY Asus and a couple of others that does not bother me at all, since you might need to use some of it later in the future, especially if you are depending or quite accustomed to ASUS based apps or its companion, so I would say this portion is all good
With that, I will also include the benchmarks should you wanted to know the score, my say is within expectation for the processor along with the included hardware inside.
