Now it has been a while since Intel has released their 13th Generation Series of processors, and I would say it is now it is kind of affordable in terms of pricing today if you are getting one, and for some, not all wanted all the features from the flagship Z790 motherboard yet looking for something slightly sensible board with most essential and gaming oriented in esthetics.
We will take a look on the ASUS ROG Strix B760-G Gaming WIFI D4, part of the ROG Strix series motherboard series that focuses some of the gaming design with added Asus specific features in this board.
Unboxing and Contents

- 1 x ASUS Wi-Fi moving antennas
- 1 x Cable ties pack
- 1 x Rubber Package(s) for M.2
- 1 x Q-Latch package(s) for M.2
- 1 x ROG key chain
- 1 x ROG Strix stickers
- 1 x ROG Strix thank you card
Design
The ROG Strix series is known for having subtle gaming design and art etched to the heatsink and VRM, and whenever there is still space on the board, ASUS will put some design over the back and front of the mainboard, which you will spot 8bit icons and arts for this one, as well as some of the iconic classic games, such as blocks that resemble tetris. Color-wise, it is a blend of black, white, and silver, with game symbols hidden here and there, as well as an RGB ROG insignia near the IO panel area. As with the other TUF gaming series, you’ll get expensive features like the ASUS SafeSlot Core+, shielded audio processor, and so on.
If you wanted to have RGB lights, that’s up to the user to expand it externally with RGB memory, RGB NVME and available ARGB connectors for your hardware. The rest of the motherboard is basically simple, nice to look at with covers on screws that acts as the heatsink for NVME drive slot, Silver VRM heatsink and I/O ports arrangement with the plate integrated to it, making it easy to install on any MATX or ATX class casings.
Features
For the features, we will be highlighting the major points of the motherboard as below
PCIE® SLOT Q-RELEASE – With a single push, a physical button opens the first PCIe slot’s security latch, vastly easing the process of removing a PCIe card from the motherboard when upgrading to a new GPU or other suitable device.
M.2 Q-LATCH – The innovative Q-Latch makes it simple to insert or remove an M.2 SSD without the use of special equipment. To secure the drive and remove conventional screws, the design uses a basic locking device.
BIOS FLASHBACK – An easy and secure method for updating BIOS. Simply insert a FAT32-formatted USB stick into the USB BIOS FlashBack interface and hit the button to install the (UEFI) BIOS. Updates can even be carried out without the installation of RAM or a CPU.
Q-LED – For fast analysis, four onboard LEDs show power state and pinpoint issues with the CPU, RAM, graphics card, or boot device.
TEAMED POWER ARCHITECTURE – The 12 + 1 power stages, each rated at 60A, provide enough current to power the most potent Intel 13th Generation CPUs through any task with ease.
Compatibility
The ASUS ROG Strix B760-G Gaming WIFI D4 is compatible with Intel 13th and 12th Gen processor with DDR4 memory over 5000Mhz. On top of that XMP profiles are also supported making most major memory brands available are highly compatible with this motherboard. When it comes to cooling solutions, as long you are getting from the reputable brands, it should be fine whether it is a fan type or AIO, and of course there is ARGB ports so you can sync it together with ASUS Armory crate app which you can download from ASUS website or Microsoft

So here is the system setup on our test bench along with our benchmark results, and the result is for reference purposes if you wish to compare with other combined system that we have reviewed before, you can check on our review section. However that being said, I find the overall experience during testing is stable and well with no errors so far, and score wise, I find it similar to any setups with the same configuration, and there is still room to overclock your RAM if you wish to, since it does support XMP, that shall give an advantage on accessing speeds. NVME storage is limited to PCIE 4 standards but you are not losing much, since Gen4 storage is still common and placed at a very reasonable price, I rather spend more on the graphics card or more memory just to keep the system running on any latest game titles you can look forward to.
Software & BIOS
To begin with, the ASUS ROG Strix B760-G Gaming WIFI D4 came with Armory Crate, a full-featured dashboard app that allows you to see your system status, configure your RGB lights, change fan curves, update drivers, and tool with special deals will also appear in the app (sign in required), which offers free software, discounted games, and much more. This piece of software is excellent for novices and beyond when it comes to customising your setup.
Over to BIOS, as usual ASUS ROG/TUF/Strix enthusiast level motherboards came with an advanced BIOS/UEFI configuration with Strix theme for easy overclocking on memory and processor, as well as fan curve settings, BIOS updates, boot method, voltage settings, and many if we want to fit all in, it will be a lot, but rest assured that it has a flashback BIOS for reverting or updating the UEFI, and on and all, it is easy to use as well, if you prefer to set everything to automatic via dynamic OC mode.

Verdict and Conclusion
The ASUS ROG Strix B760-G Gaming WIFI D4 is a motherboard that provides the modern hardware for both 12th and 13Gen processor while retains the use of DDR4 so you can reuse the widely available memory module, since most DDR5 prices started to drop, but it is still pricey. BIOS and UEFI interface is well arranged so that it is easy to configure should you need more tweaking from it for the enthusiasts that wanted just to push more performance out of it with a good VRM design and placement that keeps the hardware solid. The only downside is the slightly pricey RRP offered, but judging from the overall experience, design and specifications inside, it is still a solid consideration since this motherboard that look real appealing inside any system you wanted to match alongside with the casing that you are installing on.
It is now currently selling at a street price of around RM1399. For more information you can CLICK HERE to find out
