Now the Ryzen 7000 series enjoyed most of the performance uplift and capabilities over most tier segments when comes to building your own PC/Rig, as well as some great offering from the brands available in the PC markets today.
Back few months AMD has unveiled the 7000 series both in non X and X flavor for those who either needed more processing power with higher clockspeed or lower TDP, which covered both enthusiast and overclockers looking for either pure power or just wanted to get their productivity effective.
We will look at specifically the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D, which is part of the X3D lineup that mostly focuses on gamers that wanted to have the best in their gaming performance pushing all the framerate the best it can with a matched new graphics card.
The Target Audience
Aimed for gamers, the AMD Ryzen 7000 Series CPUs are a gaming powerhouse with high-performance “Zen 4” cores. The AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D gives a framerate boost in the newest games or revisiting an old favorite. AMD Ryzen 7000X3D Series CPUs provides up to 16 cores, 32 threads, boost frequencies of up to 5.7GHz, and up to 144MB of on-chip memory. As part of the Zen 4 architecture, you will still get ew features such as DDR5 Memory compatibility with AMD EXPO as well as PCI-E 5.0 compatibility for GPU, add-ons and NVME storage solutions.
Unboxing
The processor, warranty information, and the Ryzen label are included with the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D. Simply put it into any A620, B650, or X670 board that is compatible and above to get started, then adjust the settings in the motherboard BIOS. For every X3D series, there is no cooler included in the package; instead, you may buy your own cooler or AIO to finish the setup, or if you’re switching from AM4, you can use the same cooler mount and fan/AIO again. Another notable feature is that all future AM5 platforms will use LGA, which implies that the motherboard will have the pins instead of the CPU, which has no pins.

Test Setup
Below is the hardware used to match the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D in the performance benchmarks, no overclocking is set and all will be in default settings. We will also be using the Radeon RX 7900XT as this card is PCI-E 4.0 ready with BAR/SAM and on our hands on the moment being, we don’t have any PCI-E 5.0 GPU cards on our hands. Also we will only be doing the benchmark without the inclusion of the Radeon built in iGPU.

Verdict and thoughts
The AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D is meant for those targeting for the absolute highest in gaming performance yet not looking to deal much with overlocking just to get the most of their framerates, in fact plug and play with minor tweaks through XMP/EXPO will just do the job fine without meddling the hassles out of it. With that said, this is not for those looking for a budget friendly setup, it is more towards geared for those wanted the best for the mid tier and higher end builds who likely wanted to spend a little bit more. This also meant that it is great for any intensive content creations and VR content, demanding applications that uses all the possible clockspeed it has to offers coupled with more cores and thread count. While the TDP is high this is pretty much expected for such combined build and one should appreciate solely the features it offers. We would recommend at least 32GB of RAM to accommodate the matching system build. It is now currently selling at a street price of RM3499, widely available via AMD authorized dealers and online stores.
