Let’s face it: how and where we labour today varies by individual. One thing remains constant, whether it’s mixed work, online work, flexible work, or in-office work: technology. It is the great equalizer, promoting cooperation and efficiency while offering new levels of adaptability and freedom. While many people can now work from anywhere, there are still constraints that restrict our job experiences. Solving these problems is central to Dell’s design strategy, and it reflects the advances in its business inventory. It extends from the gadget to the environment to the software and solutions that provide a higher level of connection and cooperation.
Dell’s intelligent and safe business PC lineup has been refreshed with new styles, cooperation features, and performance levels. In addition to laptops and workstations, Dell has streamlined its desktop inventory and expanded intelligence to the complete PC environment. Throughout it all, Dell considers sustainability, security, manageability, and service options that help companies achieve their goals while relieving the day-to-day burden on IT teams.
Enhancing the device
Technology, from the phones we use to the vehicles we drive, enhances who we are in the world. The same can be said for the computers we use at work. People want business devices that not only provide dependable performance for on-the-go work and seamless cooperation, but also devices that suit their style and design aesthetic. These regions are represented in Dell’s latest offerings.
Latitude. Dell has poured a ton of innovation and purposeful, detailed design into these devices, including advanced audio and video collaboration features, sustainable materials and battery-saving mini-LED keyboard technology.
- The ultra-premium Latitude 9440 is built with design inspiration from Dell’s XPS line. Perfect for an executive, consultant or salesperson, it’s equipped with a haptic collaboration touchpad for a more immersive, customisable conferencing experience. The two-in-one includes machined aluminium for a premium look and feel, and a stunning new keyboard with wider keys with no gaps, known as zero-lattice, that makes all day working comfortable.
- The Latitude 7340/7440 Ultralights form factor helps professionals to move betweenmeetings with ease. Both start at just under/over one kilogram – they are surprisingly light yet durable without sacrificing features, each has a 16:10 display and 5MP camera for a productive workspace with mobile convenience.
Precision. Creators, designers, architects, and other specialist power users each have their own set of requirements. They prioritise performance and graphics skills in order to operate graphically intensive apps and software in the workplace, studio, or on the go. To satisfy these demands, Dell is introducing new improvements to its Precision mobile and fixed workstations, including the newest 13th Gen Intel® CoreTM CPUs and NVIDIA RTX Ada Generation Laptop GPUs.
Last year Dell introduced a 14-inch workstation that delivered unrivalled power. This year the Precision 5480 features performance improvements from processor to graphics card and beyond. But it doesn’t stop there – Dell has added a 16-inch mobile workstation to the 5000 Series line-up. The Precision 5680 has a small 16-inch footprint, but packs an amazing punch, with up to Intel® Core™ i9 (45W), and up to 64GB of DDR5 memory with the NVIDIA RTX 5000 Ada Generation Laptop GPU. It offers even more power and immersive experiences with the 16:10 display and up to UHD+ with PremierColor in a stylish, lightweight package.
OptiPlex: After three decades of constant desktop innovation and listening to customer input, Dell’s new OptiPlex portfolio is now simpler than ever to setup, buy, and administer. Dell has simplified its inventory so that customers can easily recognise the system that meets their workspace and performance requirements. Customers, for example, can choose between space-conscious designs and minimalist workstation setups with a variety of performance choices, or prefer the expandability and performance of a desktop tower.
Dell has also made the portfolio more intelligent and easier for IT admins to manage multiple or even thousands of devices with a new single BIOS setup, freeing up valuable IT time. Expanding PC intelligence
Customers today are concerned with how Dell can help them achieve their sustainability goals, allow safe mixed work in the face of increasing hacking risks, and streamline and reduce the strain on overburdened IT teams. In reality, 45% of ITDMs are concerned about their employees’ ability to work safely from anywhere. Dell is continuously searching for methods to modernise and satisfy the needs of its customers in these critical areas.
- Sustainability: Dell continues to innovate and invest in sustainable design across their products and packaging. They are expanding the use of low-carbon emissions aluminium to include more recycled content and extending this material to more of their portfolio, including the Latitude 9440, and Precision 5680, and to the Latitude 7000 series later this year. Dell has also increased the percentage of post-consumer recycled materials to reduce the environmental impact further through their most sustainable Latitude laptop series, Precision 3000 Series workstations and the latest commercial monitors. Plus, “Quiet Mode” within the thermal management settings of Dell Optimizer can provide up to 18% in power savings.
- Security and manageability: Focused on delivering the industry’s most secure commercial PCs and creating a trusted workspace with hardware and software protections, Dell’s recent security announcement highlights new services and solutions. This includes a collaboration with CrowdStrike to offer customers more choice in cybersecurity software, a hardware supply chain security offering that provides additional assurances that PCs arrived as they were ordered, as well as a managed detection and response services to help customers safeguard IT environments. Dell is also making their devices as easy as possible to manage, deploy and use.
