Samsung Electronics has received praise for its market leadership and excellence on a worldwide scale thanks to its advanced technologies and industry innovation.
According to market research group Omdia, Samsung once again led the world’s TV market in 2022, making it the company’s 17th consecutive year at the top of the TV market.
Samsung sold an astounding 9.65 million QLED and Neo QLED Televisions in 2022, increasing the total number of sales from the product’s launch in 2017 to 35 million units. In 2022, Samsung claimed a 36.1% market share for TVs greater than 75 inches and a 42.9% market share for TVs larger than 80 inches. Samsung still holds the greatest revenue market share (48.6%) for high-end TVs costing more than $2,500.
“Our track record of industry leadership over the past 17 years was made possible by our consumers’ continued loyalty and trust in our products,”
— Cheolgi Kim, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics.
“We will continue to pave the path to create the most premium device experiences that go beyond premium picture quality.”
Cheolgi Kim added.
The fact that Samsung has held the top spot in the TV industry for 17 straight years is evidence of the company’s dedication to provide the most cutting-edge devices with user-friendly designs. The introduction of the Bordeaux TV in 2006 signalled the widespread acceptance of Lcd Tvs with upscale designs and lightweight form. Also, it was the first time Samsung had held the top spot in the world television market. By releasing its first LED TV in 2009 and its first Smart TV in 2011, the firm continues to bring ground-breaking technology closer to customers while maintaining the top spot in the market both during and after those launches.
Samsung continues to innovate and push the limits of image quality by releasing devices that utilised the most recent technological developments. The first QLED TV from Samsung, which used quantum dot technology to reach 100 percent colour volume for the first time in the industry, was unveiled in 2017, and it helped create the term “next-generation display.” The business debuted the revolutionary QLED 8K in 2018, followed by the Neo QLED supported by Quantum Micro LED and the self-illuminating MICRO LED in 2021. This group of cutting-edge technologies completely changed the industry benchmark for TV image quality and consistency continues to do so.
Samsung has also been a pioneer when it comes to new categories, such the Lifestyle series. With models like The Frame, The Sero, The Terrace, The Premiere, and The Freestyle, Samsung has continued to improve its product selection since introducing the distinctive look of The Serif in 2016.
As part of its ongoing commitment to innovation, Samsung will continue to create user-friendly technologies in 2023. With security as a first concern, SmartThings will enable seamless connectivity and integration of various devices, giving users the ability to design completely customised experiences that meet both their particular requirements and preferences.
