DJI unveiled the DJI RS 3 Mini, a lightweight handheld travel stabiliser designed particularly to work with today’s mainstream mirrorless cameras and lenses. The DJI RS 3 Mini, with its smaller and lighter body, maintains the RS 3 series’ strong stabilisation capabilities, allowing users to generate professional-grade material while going through landscapes or in urban areas. In addition, while weighing less than 800 g (1.8 lbs), the gimbal can support up to 2 kg (4.4 lbs), has Bluetooth shutter control, a 3rd generation stabilisation algorithm, native horizontal and vertical toggling, and a 1.4-inch colour touchscreen.

Native Vertical Shooting
The RS 3 Mini has a newly established dual-layered quick-release plate to accommodate the demands of modern vertical video production. In contrast to typical vertical mode, vertical shooting can be accomplished by fastening the quick-release plate to the vertical arm without the need for additional accessories. Short videos for social media can be easily shot. A redesigned curved positioning guide on the upper plate of the RS 3 Mini prevents the camera from twisting or slipping out of place.

When utilising a Sony camera with a compatible digital lens, users can adjust the optical or digital zoom of the lens directly via the front dial, without the need for a camera control cable.
