OPPO has announced the introduction of the new A78 5G in Malaysia. The OPPO A78 5G has 33W SUPERVOOC and a 5,000mAh big battery to ensure a stable and long-lasting experience. The A78 5G delivers all-around smooth performance, an enhanced camera, and an immersive entertainment experience with its dual stereo speakers, thanks to improvements in both hardware and software, such as the RAM extension of 8GB+8GB. The A78 5G comes with ColorOS 13 and is housed in a contemporary design that boasts the signature OPPO Glow.
Charging technology improves dependability.
The A78 5G’s long-lasting 5,000mAh battery can be charged from 0% to 100% in 67 minutes and delivers up to 22.85 hours of phone conversations on a full charge.
The A78 5G also has a set of All-Day AI Power Saving capabilities to assist users automatically control their battery performance and extend overall battery life. Among these, Superpower Saving mode saves battery for emergency demands, while Super Night Standby learns user sleeping habits to restrict power usage to just 2% in a single night.
Cameras
The OPPO A78 5G comes with a 50MP primary camera for capturing crystal-clear, high-resolution photographs, as well as a 2MP self-portrait lens and an 8MP front camera for high-quality portraiture. The A78 5G’s 108MP Ultra-Clear Image employs software methods to improve image resolution to 108MP, offering an outstanding degree of clarity.
The Dual Stereo Speakers on the A78 5G provide users with more immersive surround sound, while Real Original Sound Technology offers ideal sound optimised for music, films, and games. Users may also enhance the speaker volume by up to 200% using Ultra Volume Mode.

With its efficient Octa-Core Processor, the MediaTek Dimensity 700 platform delivers outstanding 5G performance on the A78 5G. The A78 5G delivers ample of memory and storage capacity for everyday usage, with 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM configuration, and supports up to 1TB SD card expansion. OPPO’s RAM Expansion technology may also boost RAM by up to 8GB (for the 8GB RAM version), resulting in a smoother experience.
ColorOS 13 will also increase the efficiency and security of A78 5G phones. It contains features such as FlexDrop for more effective multitasking and Three-Finger Translate with Google Lens to translate text in the selected region of a screenshot. When it comes to privacy, Photo Information Protection allows users to instantly remove photo and video information to avoid sensitive private data from being mistakenly released.
Market availability
The OPPO A78 5G will be available in Malaysia on the 14th of January in Glowing Purple and Glowing Black. The 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM variant will be available for RM1099 at all My OPPO Space, OPPO Brand Stores, OPPO Official Online Store, OPPO Authorised Online Store, Chain Store Partners, E-comm partners, and telecom partners like as Maxis and U-mobile. The A78 5G will be offered to Celcom and Digi customers beginning February 7th. Customers who shop at OPPO Brand Stores will receive a free OPPO band worth RM159.
