Every time when the tech and PC market advances, there will be new hardware that is coming out, and by then I mean every now and then speed access is one of the criteria of building a new system. A few months ago Kingston launches their next iteration of improved memory kit solutions to the public. One of it is the Kingston FURY Renegade series, it comes with both RGB and Non RGB flavors but speed and specification wise, it shall remains the same for the both. These RAM solution is much targeted to the mass enthusiast who are looking into building new or upgrade their existing PC which is future proof even if Intel or AMD releases their next generation of Processors to pair with.
Unboxing & Features
The whole packaging is slightly premium compared to the FURY Beast DDR5 packaging, which states the features and specs, which indicates this a high end RAM kit towards the first glance in a boxed slim package. It can range from a pair of 16, or 32GB of RAM. One must take note that the RGB lighting is located on the top of the RAM, the sides over the heatspreader body of the kit has no RGB lights but it does comes with the Kingston FURY logo and metal like design to it.
Below is the summary features of the RAM as well
- Intel® XMP 3.0 Certified (For AMD and Intel System)
- Plug N Play at 6000MT/s and above
- RGB Compatibility with most Motherboard Manufacturers
- Patented Kingston FURY Infrared Sync Technology
- Compatible with Kingston CRTL software for RGB and status control

Performance & Benchmarks
First off, we are able to tune the RAM kit speeds from 4800MT to 6000MT without much of the hassle with our test ASRock motherboard just by selecting the profile in the BIOS, we did switch to XMP as well and it boots as per usual, however if you wish to tweak it manually, it is up to you and this RAM kit can take it very well since it is an overclockable kit, the rest depends on your hardware matching in your rig. We did ran some test and the results out are on the benchmarks via AIDA64, you can take a look at it below, latency is well reasonable with good read and write speeds since we push it up to 6000MT/s while keeping voltage at 1.35V.

Software Features
OK, so there is two ways you can control the RGB lights, either using your compatible motherboard software from the brands you are using, or use FURY CTRL which you can download from Kingston’s Website. FURY CTRL will give you more access towards things such as RGB modes, speed, sync, brightness as well as RAM information including the speed, latency info and voltage. To my knowledge its a rarity that RAM brands will provide their own software, as mostly rely on motherboard brands to do that. But still this is a nice addition and a great one too.
Verdict & Conclusion
The Kingston FURY Renegade DDR5 RGB is one DDR5 memory kit that is highly suitable and compatible across Intel 12 and 13 series platforms, and in fact with XMP, it is also accepted by AMD systems, which makes it a universal RAM kit that you can carry on and use even if you are switching to a different system as long it can take DDR5 modules. To add, the FURY Renegade is also overclockable by tuning the voltage and speed while the RGB shines on with the wide compatibility to sync with your favorite motherboard. As of the time of this writing, RAM price seems to be dropping, which is indicating affordability towards building your favorite system and this could be a good choice for getting a pair of this RAM kit.
The Kingston FURY Renegade DDR5 RGB is now selling with the average street price of RM1499 for 16GB X 2 6000MT variant and it is widely available at most IT stores and Online ECommerce in Malaysia
