OPPO’s annual technology event, OPPO INNO DAY 2022, was aired live online today. The event, titled ‘Empowering a Better Future,’ highlighted OPPO’s commitment to expanding its four Smart Initiatives in smart entertainment, smart productivity, smart health, and smart learning in order to bring more innovation for good and build a more inclusive and positive future for all.
Enjoy a smarter life with OHealth H1, MariSilicon Y and Air Glass 2
OPPO has made a large financial investment in creating its smart health technology as one of its four Smart Initiatives. This year, OPPO launched a new smart healthcare sub-brand called OHealth in addition to establishing the OPPO Health Lab in 2021 to design proactive strategies to support users in developing healthier lives.
The OHealth H1 family health monitor, the first product under OPPO’s OHealth brand, was presented during INNO DAY 2022. The OHealth H1 integrates six family-friendly health data monitoring features into a single gadget, including blood oxygen measurement, ECG, heart and lung auscultation, heart rate, body temperature, and sleep tracking. The OHealth H1 will assist customers in gathering accurate health data and taking better care of the health of their entire family thanks to high-precision sensors and industry-leading health algorithms.
The OHealth H1 is a super-light device that weighs just 95g and has aesthetically pleasing rounded edges and a concentric circular form, in contrast to the industrial designs of standard medicine equipment. The OHealth H1 is now portable, making it simple for users to include frequent health assessments into their everyday routines.
The OHealth H1 sets the stage for OPPO’s ambition to build a bridge to better healthcare, offering smart, professional, and convenient healthcare solutions to users, hospitals, and clinics.
At the event, OPPO announced the second member of the MariSilicon family, the all-new MariSilicon Y Bluetooth audio SoC, after the first self-developed specialised imaging NPU, MariSilicon X. MariSilicon Y, one of the first SoCs to leverage the most sophisticated N6RF process technology, provides a brand-new, self-developed Pro Bluetooth Pack that boosts Bluetooth bandwidth by 50% when compared to the highest-spec Bluetooth SoCs on the market.
MariSilicon Y can transmit unprecedented 24-bit/192kHz ultra-clear lossless audio through Bluetooth for the first time ever, providing users with all the benefits of wireless connectivity with the same audio quality as a wired connection while opening up new possibilities in spatial audio experiences. Users can enjoy excellent digital audio quality with wireless Bluetooth earbuds and headphones powered by MariSilicon Y.
OPPO also demonstrated their latest Assisted Reality glass, the OPPO Air Glass 2, at the event. OPPO Air Glass 2 weighs just about 38g and has a super-lightweight, sturdy construction that contains the world’s first resin SRG-diffractive waveguide lens invented by OPPO. These lenses will allow for vision correction and additional customisation, making them nearly indistinguishable from standard glasses. The OPPO Air Glass 2 will be able to make phone calls, translate in real time, give location-based navigation, convert speech to text for persons with hearing problems, and deliver a variety of other smart experiences. The new glasses are designed to highlight OPPO’s technological research of its four Smart Initiatives while also demonstrating all-new possibilities in human-machine interaction.
Empowering a better future through Virtuous Innovation
“When facing the type of challenges that the technology industry is currently coming up against, we believe that the only way forward is to continue innovating and breaking new boundaries,” said Pete Lau, Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer at OPPO. “Under our brand proposition of ‘Inspiration Ahead’, OPPO will continue to bring users superior products and technology that build smarter lives for all. We will also work with more partners to empower a better future through Virtuous Innovation, creating more possibilities in smart connected experiences.”
OPPO has continued to establish its own technological ecosystem throughout the years by collaborating with worldwide partners to create an open, inclusive, and vibrant community. OPPO’s Open Platforms have been used by over 300,000 developers and 700,000 creators to distribute their products and services. Through the OPPO ColorOS Hackathon, OPPO has also improved communication and helped global developers and programmers.
OPPO founded the OPPO Research Institute Innovation Accelerator in May of this year to collaborate with technology professionals and entrepreneurs to find new solutions in accessible technology and digital health. In late August, OPPO presented the top ten proposals chosen from 536 submissions from 39 countries and regions. Each of the ten teams received a grant of roughly USD $46,000, as well as prospects for investment, technological assistance, commercial collaborations, and worldwide marketing. OPPO shares a strong belief with all teams in leveraging the power of technology to enhance lives and will continue to push innovation for good.
OPPO continues to bring up new possibilities in smart connected experiences by pushing the frontiers of technology with innovations such as the OHealth H1, Marisilicon Y, and Air Glass 2. OPPO is dedicated to openness and inclusion, encouraging more cooperation, innovation, and opportunities to enable a better life.
