In the first three quarters of 2022, OnePlus outperformed competitors in Asia Pacific (APAC) and India with YoY growth rates of 43.8% and 104.6%, respectively. In Q3 2022, OnePlus is also the market leader for affordable premium 5G smartphones and the whole market for affordable premium smartphones in India.

The motivating factor behind OnePlus is community. The consumer-focused company has one of the most vibrant online communities in the industry, and it often incorporates customer feedback into its products. In May 2021, OnePlus introduced the co-creation programme Power of Community, enabling users to contribute their invention throughout the whole creative process, from inspiration to fruition, in order to better interact with their users and harness collective creativity. Since its launch, Power of Community has generated a number of innovative product ideas thanks to its tight-knit community.

A New Benchmark for Co-creating with Users.

The OnePlus Featuring platform is developed by OnePlus in order to elevate co-creation to a new, ambitious level. Working with outside parties that share OnePlus’ vision will allow co-creation, one of the company’s core values, to continue to be accepted and developed. The newly developed “OnePlus Featuring” platform, which will be gradually distributed across the worldwide market, will be used to launch the jointly created market-ready product.

Since early this year, OnePlus has hosted numerous rounds of user voting to determine which new product to develop next. According to the verdict, OnePlus will soon unveil its first mechanical and configurable keyboard. This new keyboard will be developed in partnership with established mechanical keyboard maker Keychron to provide a better experience. It will be the first time that OnePlus invites an industry partner to participate in its community co-creation process, and the product will be offered in the APAC region as well.
