vivo Malaysia teamed with local photographers to shoot some of the country’s prominent sights using the vivo V25 Pro in order to encourage Malaysians to love and respect their ‘Negaraku.’ The collection includes well-known sites as well as hidden jewels from all around Peninsular Malaysia, such as Johor Bahru’s majestic clock tower, Penang’s renowned second bridge, and Melaka’s age-old A’ Famosa.

Kuala Terengganu Drawbridge, credit to Lee Fong Yean

Over on Peninsular Malaysia’s East Coast, the Kuala Terengganu Drawbridge illuminates the night with its stunning lights reflected in the Kuala Terengganu River. It is Southeast Asia’s first tower drawbridge, with the tallest bascule ever erected on a tower bridge at 76 metres.

The picturesque Saloma bridge is located between Lorong Raja Muda Musa 3 (Kampung Baru Side) and Jalan Saloma (KLCC-Ampang Side), and is overshadowed by Malaysia’s famed Twin Towers. The bridge’s construction was influenced by the Sireh Junjung and depicts a colourful display of lights at night, making it a famous tourist and instagrammable spot in Malaysia.

Many Malaysians are familiar with the A Famosa, with its iconic guns arranged in front of the castle entrance. The A Famosa, or “The Famous” in Portuguese, is one of the earliest surviving examples of European architecture in the Far East and South-East Asia. Visitors who are interested in Malaysian history and old architecture should not miss this destination in Melaka.

Jambatan Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah, most commonly known as Penang Second Bridge is not just an architectural marvel, but also the longest bridge in Souteast Asia at 24 kilometres. The dual carriageway toll bridge is a sight to behold in the daytime, and even more spectacular when viewed in a distance at night.

Johor Bahru City Square was established to commemorate Johor Bahru’s designation as a fully developed city. It consists of a stunning clock tower that rests gently on a green open grass with fountains on its sides. Locals and tourists alike go to the area for nighttime strolls, Instagram-worthy photos, and enjoying the stunning sunset at Tebrau Beach.
As 2022 draws to a close, vivo hopes Malaysians would appreciate and cherish the country’s beauty, showcasing their affection for the country via the lens of their camera.
