Usually when it comes to any Huawei mobile devices, be it a phone or a tablet, the most common thing that most will ask is, can I run my Google Apps or Google Mobile Services on it? Well if it is in the past it is almost impossible to even link your Google account with any GMS applications and games, but now there is a way to link up all your GMS apps into it.

So how to do it?

  1. Tap into Huawei AppGallery
  2. Search for ‘lighthouse’ and select install
  3. Launch ‘lighthouse’ from the AppGallery and enable all permissions
  4. Sign in to your Google Account
  5. Now you can go to AppGallery and download any GMS related app, for example YouTube and your Google account will be automatically signed in also

This will work with any GMS related apps such as Google Maps, YouTube, Photos, Google Drive, Google Translate, WhatsApp (backup/restore). However there is still some bugs to work with, such as not be able to sync with Google Contacts properly. To take note, this way of enable GMS so far is only compatible with Huawei Devices sold in Malaysia.

Also there is another alternative Store where you can download all the Google Certified Apps/games safely and Open Source, and that is AuroraOSS, which you can click on this LINK and download the APK file, this will enable the Huawei Mate 50 Pro to download, install and update the apps by just using one store for everything. For the rest of the apps, as usual you can use AppGallery.
