Design
The MSI MPG X670E Carbon WIFI brings in the all Black design with the MSI Dragon logo on the VRM area with no RGB lights on the rest of motherboard. This does bring some serious yet a common color on motherboard that fits practically on any system build. All black sometimes gave more flexibility on the choices of other colors that you wanted to match it.
One of the outstanding part of the motherboard it has a very beefy heatsink all around it, from the VRM area, chipset and the NVME/M.2 slots which should provide good heat dissipation. On top of that MSI made it so easy on NVME installation by just pulling the cover latches up for the primary drive slot and the rest is by screwdrivers, making it almost toolless. I/O ports are plenty too with so many USB ports available that has an integrated panel plate making the whole process easy for installation, which I wish all models or brands should do that. Since this is an ATX class Motherboard, an ATX casing is required for installation.
Features
For the features, we will be highlighting the major points of the motherboard
LIGHTNING GEN 5 PCI-E – This motherboard provides compatibility and support on the latest Gen5 PCI-E protocol for both the GPU 1st slot and 2 NVME drive slot. This is future or current-proof since the RTX4000 series GPU has been recently launched as well and upcoming hardwares.
Cooling – The MSI MPG X670E Carbon WIFI provides a massive cooling and protection starting with Extended Heatsink enlarges the surface of heat dissipation and Connecting two MOS heatsinks to enlarge the surface of heat dissipation.
Extensive Expansion – This motherboard provides a quite extensive expansion, especially with 4 DDR5 RAM slot that can be expanded up tp 128GB of RAM, a total of 4 PCIe M.2 slots to expand storage, 6 SATA slots for more storage, and 4 PCIe card slots to add even more cards to it, like more expansion for storage, another GPU in if you wish to run some virtualization operating system, making it versatile.
I/O Panel and expansions – That’s alot of ports we talk about here, but the main ones we should highlight is the inclusion of WiFi 6e in the board, which at least you can save a little from getting a WiFi USB or card, then 2 USB Type C ports for fast access on your favorite external devices and an integrated back panel for ease of installation.
Compatibility
The MSI MPG X670E Carbon WIFI is compatible with all AMD Ryzen 7000 series processor, usually if AMD tends to release more processor under the same series usually MSI will update the BIOS to ensure it is supported which will include the essentials, fixes, AGESA updates to it. Other than that the motherboard is compatible with both AMD EXPO RAM kits, XMP RAM Kits which can push compatible DDR 5 RAM kits beyond 6400MT/s
Software & BIOS
When it comes to the provided Software, the MSI MPG X670E Carbon WIFI came with MSI Center, a simplified featured dashboard app that lets you see your system status, configure your RGB lights via Mystic Light, System Diagnostics, updates drivers, firmware updates and tool with tweaks over fan curves and performance. This piece of software is great for beginners which offers simplified solutions for your system.
Over to BIOS, as usual MSI motherboards came with a simplified BIOS/UEFI configuration from easy overclocking on memory and processor, as well as fan curve settings, BIOS updates, boot method, voltage settings, XMP/Expo RAM profile and many if we want to fit all in, it will be a lot, but rest assured that it has a flashback BIOS button and clear CMOS button at the I/O panel for reverting or updating the UEFI, and on and all, it is easy to use as well, if you prefer to set everything to automatic via automatic OC/PBO mode.

Verdict and Conclusion
The MSI MPG X670E Carbon WIFI is of the MSI MPG series lineups that has capabilities within it, but the layout and BIOS is much simplified for the beginner builders that just needed all the ready tweaked solutions it has, which does not require too much of changes over BIOS or software to it. To the advance overclockers and enthusiast, one can also switch also to manual mode, which still offer decent options but may be limited to some. We will still able to recommend this over as an easy solution motherboard that just looks nice and suited for gamers, streamers and content creators.
It is now currently selling at a street price of around RM2499. For more information you can CLICK HERE to find out
