vivo Malaysia, as the only Official Sponsor in the smartphone industry for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ is organising the ‘vivo Give It a Shot Challenge,’ urging Malaysians to express their football love in order to aid the country’s underprivileged children.

In line with FIFA’s aim of making football truly global, varied, and inclusive for the benefit of the entire globe, vivo Malaysia wishes to make a difference by assisting Malaysian children. According to a Department of Statistics Malaysia report, absolute poverty among Malaysians climbed from 5.6% in 2019 to 8.4% in 2020, with poor families increasing from 405,400 to 639,800 during the same year. As the globe approaches the World Cup season with enthusiasm, excitement, and enthusiasm, vivo Malaysia believes that every youngster will have the opportunity to meet their needs and pursue their dreams, especially via their favourite sport – football.

The “vivo Give It A Shot Challenge,” which will take place from 21 November to 18 December 2022, offers Malaysians the chance to showcase their football prowess, spread the FIFA love throughout the world, and help those in need.

The challenge requires participants to post a video of themselves creatively kicking a ball, and for each video uploaded, RM1 will be donated to an NGO partner.

To participate, here are the steps to follow:

  1. Record a video of you kicking a ball.
  2. Upload the video to any social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) with hashtag #vivogiveitashotchallenge and #vivoMYxFIFA. Ensure the account is set open to public.
  3. Tag 2 of your friends in the caption to join the good cause.
