Young artists and design experts such as Professor Rama Gheerawo, Director of The Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design at Royal College of Art, and Patrik Schumacher, Principal of Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA), presented their experiences and talked about the blending of technology and design.

At the session, OPPO Design spokeswoman Xi Zeng discussed the company’s commitment to cutting-edge, beautiful design and its initiatives to push the envelope. OPPO’s product design approach is guided by the idea of “going over every possible technical obstacle in details and striving for simplicity and elegance in design” runs through OPPO’s product design process. “Product design embodies our emotions and ideals.” said Xi Zeng.

Find N raises the standard of a foldable smartphone’s general usability after years of improvement and technological advances. The golden ratio and waterdrop hinge designs of the Find N were discussed by OPPO Product Marketing Manager Neil Monger. Structural engineers and designers have integrated various technical advancements into the rollable display and traceless design of the OPPO X 2021 rollable phone to guarantee that the screen automatically retracts and stretches smoothly as a picture scroll. As a result, the rollable display’s thin look is preserved to a larger extent, and new opportunities for the advancement of intelligent devices are also suggested.

This year’s OPPO ColorOS 13 was made available in August. Its Aquamorphic Design is influenced by nature and incorporates the unifying and restorative qualities of water into the system’s visual language to produce a clear visual experience and user-friendly UI. OPPO’s tasteful product design was also influenced by the curves seen in nature. The rear design of the OPPO Find X5 series’ volcano-like back cover, which is constructed of microcrystalline ceramic material and imitates the contours of nature, has an organic feel for a genuine tactile experience.

Design Masters Gather at the V&A Museum to Discuss the Future of Technology and Design

Since 2020, OPPO and Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) have collaborated on the new OPPO headquarters project. Zaha Hadid Architects recognised OPPO’s design ideas as partners and enjoyed how their two companies had similar design perspectives. ZHA Principal Patrik Schumacher gave a motivational lecture throughout the training. Patrik offered insight into the design philosophy of the ZHA and his knowledge of the interaction between people, technology, and design as one of the most well-known thought leaders in the domains of architecture, urbanism, and design.

Professor Rama Gheerawo, an advocate of inclusive design, talked about the importance of inclusive design: “A core component of accessibility is the human reaction, such as the joy you feel when holding a phone with a comfortable, smooth tactile touch. That is a part of accessibility and a part of Inclusive Design.”

Encouraging Art and Tech Innovations, OPPO Aims to Build a Global Community for Young Artists to Exchange Ideas and Grow

2019 saw the launch of OPPO’s Renovators Emerging Artists Project. OPPO wants to empower young artists everywhere and inspire them to create via art and technology by launching a global competition. OPPO also hosted the Renovators 2022 Exhibition at Cromwell Place during the London Design Festival. The artworks presented in the exhibition were from the 2022 Renovators global competition which ended in early September. Following the session, attendees also visited the exhibition space to view the works produced by young artists from more than 30 different nations. Numerous people came to the show, mesmerised by the original and inventive artworks and the stunning designs of OPPO goods.

Participants in Renovators 2022 demonstrated their original thoughts on a variety of subjects, including smart living, low-carbon and environmental preservation, preserving traditional culture, technology, the advancement of human civilization, and many more.
