Dare to be Ultimate: Building a World-Leading Gaming Phone, a design story video revealing the origins of the new ROG Phone 6D series of gaming smartphones, was released today by ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG).
The latest flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ 5G chipset powers the ROG Phone 6D and ROG Phone 6D Ultimate. The Dimensity 9000+ chipset provides flagship 5G experiences, ideal for mobile gamers, with up to 3.2 GHz CPU speeds1 and up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512 GB ROM storage.

The ROG Phone 6D Ultimate features an all-new AeroActive Portal, a heat-dissipation ‘door’ that works in tandem with the AeroActive Cooler 6 and the heat-dissipation fins on the ultrathin vapour chamber to introduce cool air to the chipset for exceptional cooling performance. A massive 6000mAh battery capacity provides ample power for extended gaming sessions. A 6.78-inch Samsung AMOLED HDR10+ display with exclusive ROG tuning technology delivers stunning visuals with a 165 Hz refresh rate and 720 Hz touch-sampling rate. The new series is fully compatible with the existing ROG Phone 6 accessory lineup, which includes the AeroActive Cooler 6 and the ROG Phone 6 Glass Screen Protector.

The ROG Phone 6D series is powered by the latest flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9000+5G smartphone platform, which delivers power and performance enhancements for the ultimate boost across all on-device experiences. Dimensity 9000+ delivers enhanced gameplay to the full suite of HyperEngine 5.0 features as well as an improved MediaTek Mali GPU that outperforms the Dimensity 9000 by more than 10%. For the most reliable and stable gaming experience, the devices include up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
The ROG Phone 6D series features a 6.78-inch 165 Hz AMOLED HDR10+ display with an industry-leading 720 Hz touch-sampling rate for ultra-smooth and ultra-responsive gaming visuals. For an unrivalled gaming experience, this incredible display can be set to 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, 144Hz, or 165Hz. The stunning visuals have been fine-tuned in collaboration with leading visual-processing company Pixelworks® to achieve world-class colour accuracy. This year, the AirTrigger 6 has been significantly improved. The ultrasonic sensors fully support a wide range of gestures, including Dual Action, Press and Lift, and Gyroscope Aiming.
The 6000 mAh battery has advanced battery-care features for improved battery performance and a longer lifespan, as well as a 65-watt HyperCharge adapter for fast charging.
ROG Phone 6D series comes with a triple-camera system that includes a flagship Sony®IMX766 50 MP main wide-angle camera with improved image quality and HDR processing, an ultrawide 13 MP second camera, and a macro camera. HDR10+ Video Mode and a 12 MP front camera for group selfies and live-streaming videos are among the enhanced software features.
The ROG Phone 6D and 6D Ultimate are only available in Space Gray. ROG Phone 6D has Aura RGB lighting on the back, 12GB / 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, and 256GB ROM storage. The ROG Phone 6D Ultimate comes with the AeroActive Cooler 6, a colour ROG Vision matrix display on the back, 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM memory, and 512GB of ROM storage.
Exclusive ROG Phone 6 BATMAN Edition
ASUS also revealed the ROG Phone 6 BATMAN Edition, a limited-edition version of the new ROG Phone 6 gaming smartphone created in collaboration with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC that will appeal not only to fans of the crime-fighting superhero, but also to serious gamers and collectors of one-of-a-kind collectibles.
The custom user interface features exclusive themed live wallpapers, icon styles, animations, sound effects, and more, and the special Aura RGB illuminated logo is an outline image of the instantly recognizable Bat emblem.

Exclusive influencer tournament
To continue to honour mobile gamers, ROG will host an influencer tournament in which 10 influencers from six countries, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand will interact and compete with ROG fans on Tier-1 game titles. This tournament will take place between September and November, depending on the availability of products in each market.
