GIGABYTE has announced the release of their latest AMD X670 motherboards, which include two segments of X670E and X670 chipsets with numerous notable features. High-end X670E models natively support PCIe® 5.0 graphics cards with enhanced slot design, whereas mainstream X670 models use PCIe® 4.0 graphics card slot design. The lineup includes PCIe® 5.0 M.2 slots with PCIe® and M.2 EZ-Latch design, making it easier for users to upgrade graphics cards and M.2 SSDs while avoiding accidental damage to the surrounding components.
Furthermore, the 18+2+2 direct power, 105Amps Smart Power Stage, and 8 layer PCB provide increased stability, compatibility, and performance for upcoming AMD RyzenTM 7000 Series processors. The advanced thermal design reduces VRM temperature. This prevents thermal throttling by stabilising the power and performance of the PCIe® x16 slot and M.2 SSD. Meanwhile, the improved shielding design of SMD slots improves signal and slot structure reliability. Furthermore, the lineup incorporates Active OC Tuner technology and all-new GCC (GIGABYTE Control Center) software to work in tandem with GIGABYTE’s new PCIe® 5.0 M.2 SSD and EXPO/ XMP dual mode DDR, delivering extreme performance with a more user-friendly experience.
GIGABYTE X670 motherboards exclusively support DDR5 at 5200 MHz theoretical speed, and include well-known Shielded Memory Routing, SMD memory DIMMs, and dual metal armour for users to enjoy premium memory overclocking performance with greater stability. Memory O.C. enhancement in the BIOS supports both AMD EXPOTM 2 and Intel ® XMP mode in the GIGABYTE X670 lineup. GIGABYTE also introduces memory with dual mode AORUS XMP and AMD EXPO technology to achieve high-speed operation and easily unleash the extreme performance of DDR5- 6400.
GIGABYTE also introduces new streamlined software called GCC (GIGABYTE Control Center) to replace the traditional APP Center utility. GCC, as a new management platform, categorises user GIGABYTE applications using a newly designed UI. This new software detects the user’s hardware configuration and downloads the appropriate related application on the back end, all in one portal. It is now simpler for users to install, upgrade, and manage various applications in order to take advantage of all the benefits of GIGABYTE products.
