Over the Horizon 2022 produced by SUGA of BTS is now available on Samsung’s social channels. Following the huge success of his first remix at last year’s Galaxy Unpacked, SUGA has done it again for 2022, putting an upbeat, positive spin on Samsung’s signature musical theme Over the Horizon.
Since the debut of Over the Horizon on the Samsung Galaxy S2 in 2011, Samsung has collaborated with several artists to reimagine the music theme and create a signature sound that would motivate people to push their limits. SUGA, who is well-known for his record production skills, is the first artist to remix the sound twice and create a song for the new editions of the Galaxy foldables.
When developing the 2022 Over the Horizon theme, SUGA’s goal was to inspire people to think about what excitement awaits them “Over the Horizon.” As a result, the new remix is all about positivity and brightness, and it was designed to make people feel hopeful and upbeat when they hear it.
Since its inception as a rock-themed ringtone, updated versions have added new age, orchestral pop, fusion jazz, and even Nordic orchestra inspired twists to the original theme. Over the Horizon, like the Galaxy ecosystem, is constantly updated to reflect what is going on in the world, and the collaborations formed with artists invited to remix the theme reflect the spirit of openness and collaboration that underpins the Galaxy philosophy.
As anticipation grows for the release of the new Galaxy foldables, Samsung is pleased to invite SUGA back to the mixing desk for an all-new version and music video for ‘Over the Horizon 2022 produced by SUGA of BTS.’
In addition, ‘Over the Horizon 2022 produced by SUGA of BTS’ will be available as a ringtone through a future software update on Galaxy devices.*
