OPPO ColorOS 12 receives four Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design Awards for 2022, recognising the innovative design of its operations system ColorOS12 with OPPO SANS Fonts, O Relax app, OMOJI, and the Two-Finger Split Screen function.
OPPO SANS is a universal typeface designed by OPPO that is available in 21 countries and 11 languages. The visual optimization includes everything from the font’s structure to its glyphs. Subtle optimization, such as simplifying strokes, makes the font’s overall shape more concise and elegant. These updates establish a technological presence and allow it to improve legibility across a range of screen displays in various products.
O Relax is an OPPO digital wellbeing app that provides soothing music tracks as well as ambient nature and city sound to help you unwind. Sounds of the City, a key feature inspired by specific locations in different cities, provides users with high-quality ambiance sounds recorded from locations all over the world, including Reykjavik, Beijing, and Tokyo. Each is presented in a distinct sound range, ranging from lively sounds such as energetic train and city pavement sounds to calming and quiet sounds such as wind and rain with an audible world can allow users to immerse themselves in a calming experience.
OPPO’s industry-leading Face Capture algorithm is supported by OMOJI from ColorOS 12. Users can customise unique emojis that fit their personal style using high precision expression models built on 52 core facial expressions and 200+ stylistic elements.
ColorOS 12 customised the “Two-Finger Split Screen” function to enhance the experience of using OPPO’s first folding screen mobile phone, Find N, with its 7.1-inch large screen. Simply swipe two fingers down the middle of the foldable screen to split the screen display into two. This type of design is both intuitive and simple to understand for users.
The Red Dot Design Award is one of the most prestigious professional design competitions in the world. Such recognition recognises OPPO’s world-class design capabilities. Through ColorOS, OPPO will continue to provide users with a more concise and comfortable experience in the future.
