Unboxing & First Impression of SAMSUNG GALAXY S22+ 5G

The Galaxy S Series has been a popular phone all over the years with its tradition of releasing at least 3 models every year to see a number of improvements towards specs and design in place for consumers to upgrade their existing phones with just recently Samsung has just announced the S22 family series.

Today we will look at the unboxing and first impression of the Samsung Galaxy S22+, this marks the flagship start for the year 2022 under the S series lineup which also includes the S22 and S22 Ultra.

The SAMSUNG Galaxy S22+ comes in a Eco friendly recyclable phone box. Upon unboxing you will get the following as below

Do take note that the Galaxy S22+ does not come with headphone, charger or USB C to 3.5mm audio adaptor, but its pretty easy to get one at any of your favorite phone accessories shop or you can just visit any Samsung Online Store or any Samsung Authorized Outlets to purchase one. We would recommend to get Samsung’s 25w charger and the Galaxy Buds Pro or Buds 2.

Color Choices

The Galaxy S22+ comes in four colors, Phantom Black, Green, Pink Gold and Phantom White. The color that we got for the unboxing is the Pink Gold color, which represent the color suited for any environment to match, whether its your clothes or your surrounding with smooth textures, matted based. This phone carries a weight of 196 Grams which is categorized as a standard on par weight phone that is easily pocketable on your jeans also.

The Design, Look and Feel

The Galaxy S22+ 5G inherits most of the S21 series design with a seamless construction of a candybar based form factor which is loved by everyone it its signature contour cut design which is a slight bump surrounding the island of the rear camera. It is fairly easy to hold and use with one hand, with good navigation coverage with one hand usage on a 7.6mm depth, making it fairly slim in its category. The Galaxy S22+ 5G features a 6.6 inch flat Super AMOLED display 2X with 120Hz refresh rate that makes it a joy when scrolling thru webpages, gaming and working with documents. Using it under bright sunlight works fairly well thanks to the boost of 1750nits brightness.

Looking at the back of the phone you will spot an island of lenses consisting of one 50MP wide lens with OIS, one 10MP telephoto lens, one 12MP ultrawide lens followed by a camera flash. Over to the front side, which is the main display there is one 10MP wide angle Dual Pixel camera, perfect for those who likes to take a lot of selfies. All of the camera in the phone is able to capture wide angle images with PDAF capability. Specifically over the rear camera you have a choice of video recording up to 4K resolution at 60FPS with Efficient Video Format options.

Performance

Over to the performance points, the SAMSUNG Galaxy S22+ is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 GEN 1 5G Octa Core SOC, with up to 256GB of internal storage and 8GB of RAM. The set of configurations is set towards users targeting the absolute flagship class processor that ensures it handles the imaging capture and video recording capability with its surrounding competitions with good optimizations over multitasking, gaming, streaming, editing and productivity. The 120Hz display will give you the responsiveness you need with HDR10+ support. To further immerse on the display, it supports Widewine L1 which is Netflix FHD capable. On top of that you will also get a pleasant and reasonable audio experience with its top bottom firing speakers tuned by AKG.

Overall on my few days of impression with the SAMSUNG Galaxy S22+ 5G, it is a phone that is suitable for those who wanted a device that is seeking for high performance phone that does for your work, play and High resolution image capture with multiple modes to select from and gaming performance with good multitasking productivity.
