During the recent Galaxy Unpacked 2022, BTS and Samsung Galaxy shared their dedication to driving a positive impact for the environment. In an effort to emphasise the impact of ocean-bound plastics and discarded waste, BTS members took turns and silently held up placards with dire messages such as “Our small actions can turn a ripple into a new wave,” over images of giant pools of plastic in the seas projected onto a screen behind them.
With that said, starting with the latest Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Tab S8 series devices, Samsung will use repurposed ocean-bound plastics throughout our entire product lineup, now and in the future. These devices will reflect Samsung’s ongoing effort to eliminate single-use plastics and expand the use of other eco-conscious materials, such as recycled post-consumer material (PCM) and recycled paper. Galaxy technology’s future will be marked by cutting-edge product design and less environmental impact as a result of this transformation.
