Microsoft announced that pre-orders for the new Surface Pro 8 will commence from today, 20 January, in Malaysia via commercial authorized resellers and authorized retailers.
Priced starting at RM4,950, Surface Pro 8 is more than twice as fast as Pro 7, with 11th Gen Intel® Core™ processors built on the Intel® Evo™ platform and equipped with two Thunderbolt 4 ports. All of these performance gains coupled with Windows 11 and a battery life of up to 16 hours make it the most powerful 2-in-1 PC on the market.
Azizah Ali, Chief Marketing and Operations Officer at Microsoft Malaysia said, “We are excited to bring to Malaysia, the new Surface Pro 8, our most powerful Pro laptop ever. Each new version of Windows unlocks the next generation of hardware innovation. For the last decade, Surface has been at the forefront – challenging convention, pioneering new experiences and creating entirely new categories of devices. Today, we are revealing an update to our iconic 2-in-1 Surface device, the Pro 8, representing a significant leap forward since Pro 3. It is the ideal hybrid device, giving people a dynamic on-the-go tablet and the ultimate work-from-home set-up, and we hope this helps people unlock more possibilities.”
The device features a vibrant 13” PixelSense touchscreen that is virtually edge to edge. With Dolby® Vision™ and Adaptive Color Technology, users get to enjoy a viewing experience that is not only true to life, but also comfortable on the eyes. In addition, the 5MP front-facing camera, 10MP-4K rear-facing camera, Dolby® Atmos™ sound, and dual far-field Studio Mics ensure users look and sound their best at all times.
Designed to light up the best of Windows 11, Surface Pro 8 combines the power of a laptop with the flexibility of a tablet, and every angle in between, with the iconic Kickstand and detachable new Surface Pro Signature Keyboard that provides storage and charging capability for the new Surface Slim Pen 2. With these functions on the new Keyboard, users can keep the Slim Pen always nearby and ready for whenever inspiration strikes.
With the Surface Pro 8 now supporting up to 120Hz refresh rate, the Surface Slim Pen 2 that’s equipped with haptic feedback gives users a more natural experience when inking on the Surface Pro 8. It replicates the experience of a real pen, with a slim carpenter-inspired style to provide grip for all hands and great control. The Slim Pen 2 comes redesigned with a sharper pen tip for exceptional accuracy when in use, bringing users the ultimate shading experience with 4,096 points of pressure sensitivity.
It is also equipped with a zero force inking feature that allows instant ink flow the moment the Slim Pen 2 touches the screen. Users can also flip the Slim Pen 2 around to use the tail button and eraser function, like you would a real pen. Best of all, it works across the entire portfolio of ink-enabled Surface devices, allowing more users to enjoy the power and precision of the new Slim Pen 2.
