Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. has introduced the Qualcomm Dragonwing™ IQ-X Series, its first industrial-grade PC processors designed to power next-generation PLCs, HMIs, panel PCs, edge controllers, and box PCs. Built for extreme environments and engineered to accelerate smart manufacturing, the new series brings powerful compute performance, advanced AI capabilities, and robust peripheral support to industrial systems.

Built for the Demands of Modern Industry
The Dragonwing IQ-X platform combines best-in-class single and multithread compute, long life-cycle support, industrial-grade reliability, and industry-leading power efficiency. At its core is the Qualcomm Oryon CPU, built on a 4nm process with up to 12 high-performance cores and 45 TOPS of AI processing.
Designed for rugged environments, the processors support temperatures from –40°C to 105°C, making them suitable for harsh factory conditions.
The IQ-X Series also supports familiar COM module form factors, ensuring drop-in upgrades for existing carrier boards, while offering broad compatibility with peripherals and bridge chips widely used across industrial systems. Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC support enables easy integration with key industrial software including Qt, CODESYS, EtherCAT, and more.
AI-Ready for Predictive Maintenance and Intelligent Automation
Thanks to its integrated NPU, the IQ-X Series can run on-device AI workloads using the Qualcomm AI Software Stack and popular runtimes such as ONNX and PyTorch. This delivers the foundation for smarter edge deployments—from predictive maintenance and condition-based monitoring to visual inspection and defect detection.
Fast Deployment for OEMs and ODMs
The Dragonwing IQ-X Series is designed for rapid scaling and reduced system complexity, eliminating the need for external multimedia or AI modules. Its flexible architecture, long-term availability, and support for rugged designs provide OEMs with a powerful foundation for next-gen factory automation, robotics, and edge intelligence solutions.
Leading industrial PC manufacturers—including Advantech, Congatec, Kontron, NEXCOM, Portwell, Tria, and SECO—will be among the first to introduce commercial devices powered by the new platform in the coming months.
